3 in 1 adjustable pillow
The pillow that adjusts to your sleep
You do not stay in one position all night, so why should your pillow keep one shape? MelaSleep changes height in under a minute. No tools, just add or remove an insert.

How it works
A standard pillow comes at one fixed height and leaves you to adapt to it. MelaSleep turns that around: you pick the height, and you change it whenever your comfort changes.
Most people have no idea which height suits them until they have slept on it. A pillow reveals itself over several nights, not in three minutes in a store aisle. MelaSleep lets you run that test at home, on your own mattress, and go back as many times as you need.
Find your support
Every pillow ships with both inserts. You are not buying one firmness, you get all three.
Soft
A cushioned surface that cradles the head without lifting it. Start here if you sleep on your front.
Medium
More volume and more hold, without going all the way up. A good starting point if you drift between your back and your side.
Firm
Both inserts together fill the gap between shoulder and head. This is the setting built for side sleepers.
Night after night
A pillow does not fix a bad night on its own. It simply removes one variable from the equation: how your head and neck are supported.
On your front, your back or your side, the distance between your head and the mattress is never the same. The two inserts cover all three cases with one pillow.
Three settingsThe fibers are chosen to recover their volume rather than flatten out halfway through the night. That leaves you fewer reasons to reposition the pillow or fold it in half under your head.
The cotton cover and the filling are designed to let air pass rather than trap heat, which matters on nights when the bedroom runs warm.
The filling and the cover are described as hypoallergenic and designed to limit household dust build up. The cover washes as often as your sheets do.
Our commitments
A pillow is judged in use, not on a spec sheet. That is why the trial happens in your own bed, and why the manufacturer stands behind how the pillow is made.
Inside the pillow
MelaSleep comes apart into three pieces: a cover, plus two inserts you tell apart by the color of their label. Here is what each one holds.
The outer cover
The layer your skin touches at night.
The blue label insert
The low profile, cushioning without bulk.
The red label insert
Volume and structure.
The two inserts stack inside the cover. You can use one or both, and you never have to open a sealed filling or pull material out by hand.
The full composition and the washing instructions are printed on the label sewn into the cover. The filling contains no animal by-products and gives off no manufacturing smell when you open the box.
A few seconds
Work out the position you sleep in most, then pick the matching setup. Nothing is permanent, you can change your mind the next day.
Front sleepers
Soft
The blue insert on its own
Open the cover, keep the blue label insert and set the red one aside. This is the lowest height, the one that works when the head needs to stay close to the mattress.
Back sleepers
Medium
The red insert on its own
Swap the blue for the red. You gain volume and hold without reaching the tallest setting. This is the middle ground for people who move during the night.
Side sleepers
Firm
Both inserts together
Slide both inserts into the cover. This is the tallest setup, made for broader shoulders and for sleeping on your side with the neck in line with the back.
Take the cover off using the zip and machine wash it following the sewn in label. Let it dry all the way through before putting it back on, and shake the inserts now and then to redistribute the fibers.
MelaSleep is a bedding item, not a medical device, and it does not replace professional advice. If you wake up with lasting neck, back or shoulder pain, speak to a doctor or a physiotherapist rather than counting on a change of pillow. Keep the cover closed, store the pillow away from damp, and keep packaging out of reach of young children.
Trade offs you can drop
Plush or supportive, washable or well filled, light or built to last: those trade offs come from a pillow that cannot change. Once the height is adjustable, they go away.
Side by side
The difference is not some miracle material. It is what you can do with the pillow once it is in your bedroom.
| On this point | A standard pillow | MelaSleep |
|---|---|---|
| Height | Fixed by the maker. It either suits you or it does not. | Three heights, chosen at home after sleeping on them. |
| Sleeping position | A model is usually built around one position. | Front, back and side covered by the same pillow. |
| Filling | Sewn into the shell, out of reach unless you cut it open. | Two inserts you pull out and put back by hand. |
| Cover | Often attached to the filling, so you need a pillowcase. | Unzips completely and goes in the washing machine. |
| If the height is wrong | You buy another one and start the guessing again. | You switch inserts and try again the next night. |
| In a shared bed | Two sleepers with different tastes, two models to buy. | The same pillow twice, set differently on each side. |
| Away from home | The whole pillow travels, or you sleep on the hotel one. | One insert in the bag is enough to get your support back. |
The comparison is drawn against fixed fill pillows, by far the most common category on retail shelves. It targets no brand in particular, and a well chosen standard pillow stays perfectly comfortable for anyone who has already found their height.
Reviews that mostly talk about the adjustment, how the pillow holds up, and how easy it is to keep clean.
I never knew how to pick a pillow height. I tried all three settings over a week and landed on medium. Being able to test at home is what made the difference.
Broad shoulders and a side sleeper, so I always ended up stacking two pillows. Both inserts in and one pillow is enough. That pile is gone.
We ordered two. My partner keeps the red insert, I use the blue one. Same pillow on both sides of the bed, set up completely differently.
The cover comes off in seconds and goes straight in with the sheets. I wash it every other week and it has not shrunk or lost its feel.
Half a year in and there is still no dip in the middle. Every pillow I bought before this one was flat within two months.
I packed just the blue insert for a two week work trip. Slipping it into the hotel pillowcase gave me the same support I have at home.
On your front, keep the blue insert on its own. On your back, the red insert alone gives more structured support. On your side, use both inserts to fill the gap between shoulder and head. Sleep on each setup for two or three nights before deciding.
Under a minute. Open the zip on the cover, add or remove an insert, close it again. No tools, and you never handle the filling itself.
Yes. It comes off completely and washes like bed linen, following the sewn in label. The inserts do not go in the machine: air them out and shake them regularly instead.
Queen measures 16.5 × 27.6 in (42 × 70 cm), King measures 18.9 × 29.1 in (48 × 74 cm). Queen fits most standard double beds. King is for people who move around a lot at night or who like a wide pillow on a large bed.
The filling and the cover are described as hypoallergenic and take frequent washing well, which helps limit dust build up. If you have a diagnosed allergy, ask your doctor first: no pillow is a treatment on its own.
It mainly depends on how long it takes you to find your setting. Allow a few nights per setup. A body used to a pillow that was too flat or too tall for years needs a while to readjust. Do not judge it on one night.
The fibers are chosen to recover their shape after being compressed. As with any pillow, shaking it out and airing it regularly helps the filling hold up longer.
Yes. The cotton cover already acts as a first layer, but nothing stops you adding your usual pillowcase over it if you want it to match your bed linen.
Two inserts, three setups, one cover that goes in the machine. You set the height at home, on your own mattress, and change it whenever you want.
